Yahoo is currently 1GB at no cost. They started it back in June/July I think.

Unless you are talking about the subscription service through Yahoo, the email account size is 100 MB.

Gmail has alot of room. Thats about it. Yahoo has 10x the features (including the simple POP/SMTP accounts for use with outlook ect).

Yahoo makes you pay for that, and Google said that there is a %50 chance they will make there POP3 service free.

Thats why I said Gmail once it comes out of beta will basically be Yahoo's competetor :)

And my mistake on the size of the free account. I only have the Yahoo Mail+ which is 2 Gigs ($19.99 a year). Thought the free one was 1 G. Either way even 100MB is more than enough. The only reasons I keep the paid one is the inSANEly good spam protection( I Haven't had a single spam email in 3 years...total time I've had the account), POP access (I use Outlook), and zero ads. The free account has banner ads at the top (no popups).

If GMAIL makes their POP access free, then yahoo will have something to worry about. Especially if Gmail's spam protection is also top notch, and as good as Yahoo's Mail+.
