deathbob thats an 8 series. My last car was a BMW and my mechanic drove it more than I did.

Ya its an 850i...They made 840...same engine as the 540/740 and 850i 12 cyl (was the original engine designed for the Mclarin but was too heavy). They also made and 850 csi basically M8.

My last car was a BMW and my mechanic drove it more than I did

My mechanic said he'd reserve a parking space for me at his shop. When I was in DC only 2 guys in the area even new how to work on the 850's. SO basically every time it was a min of $1000 per visit and that was if I was lucky.

Still love the car though...
