Dunno but my brother tells me that the guardsmen get a lot of phone numbers put in their boots by frisky female tourists ;)

Would say those big black hats more closely resemble the Fred Flintstone Water Buffalo hat (without the horns) or a Dr. Suess hat?

I kind of like those uniforms. I remember them when I was there last. Funny how they all dress up and everything is still formal.
