The issue isn't watching scary or violent content. The issue isn't how that shapes our personalities. The issue is humiliating someone and then laughing in their face. The issue is that it was a child. They deliberately humiliated that child, found the time to set the whole thing up with a camera and then found the time to post it online.

I will tell you that those people somewhere down the line where treated in the same fashion or they are just flat out short a chromosome or two. Hell probably both.

I'll stand by my thoughts. I do not find the humiliation and mocking of others entertaining. If you do then your not alone. Maybe I'll post a picture of my lamphat when I'm done so we can all get a good chuckle out of it.

, yea I agree with ya. I usually laugh at a lot of things. But if its something serious like someone dying or etc. then the laughter stops.

Sounded to me like you had a problem with people who thought it to be funny. That you were scolding them telling them its wrong in so many ways. I simply said I could give a rats ass what anyone thinks and that i have done it to my kids and the next chance i get i'll do it again. For the simple fact i don't have a dry sense of humor and they would get me in a heartbeat. To each their own i suppose.

Kids always react like that it's just shock. They cry like that for just the tiniest little bump on the knee. It's not a sign of serious and lasting mental trauma it's just the effect of adrenaline on their system. I don't buy into this idea that you either can or should protect your child from everything potentially harmful. I think overprotectiveness is far more damaging in the long run...

one time after showing my kid something like that, he kept crying. Crying and crying and crying, so i just put him back in his cage for 23 1/2 hours a day.

Next time he pulls this shit im going to punish him with 5 minutes of W.O.O.

In all fairness, kids do cry about a lot of shit. If this is a one time thing, cool but if this kids life is riddled with this kind of nonsense over and over then he can develop a complex. The kind of complex that involves another friend, trench coats and multiple weapons at their local high school.

Exactly B, to each their own. I never expected you to agree with me or even compromise a hair. Your a woman after all. My simple point was, if you get your jolly's from the humiliation of others your pretty lame. Party on Wayne and pass the lamphat.

Nah ignoring him and leaving him to play on his own would lead to trenchcoats and the rest. This'll just lead to old fashioned paranoia. As for the kid thraten him with having to sit through pearl harbour, that'll shut him up...it always does

My kids aren't pussy cry babies and have a sense of humor. They don't cry like sissies when they get their feelings hurt or a joke is played on them. They get even.
