I am very disappointed, that was a very hard game to watch. and after last night i hate all St. Louis fans and the team. I can't believe my boys lost to the Cards, i mean they played so well through the season. Oh well i guess.

I being from Michigan am a Tigers fan, but knowing how they played this series it doesn't really surprise me that they lost. They were playing so sloppy it was unreal. A pitching staff should have never made as many errors as they did. Kenny Rogers the most seasoned guy in their pitching staff was like the only pitcher who pitched and didn't make an error. It was just some sense that if you make that many errors in that important of a series then you really don't deserve to win. So in final words... the way the Tigers played in that series doesn't surprise me that they lost. The Cards were playing some of their finest baseball and the Tigers weren't. Oh well, they are still the American League Champs and that was more than anyone would have thought they could do. So they can take their experience and move forward and try again, hopefully sometime soon, and maybe win the world series.

Give the Tigers a few more years, some RIGHT moves by management, and they'll be back. No doubt the Tigers will lose a guy here and there but its going to be up to the GM to replace those guys with suitable people.

Thats how it was for Cards fans in '04. It felt like it was our year and then the Red Sox over-powered the Cards. They have a great core of guys in Detroit, and this experience will make them hungry for another chance and thats what you want. The Tigers will be back in the WS, i almost guarantee it ;)

PS: Earlier this year, posted on here that i didn't think the Cards were going make the post season, let alone win the WS. I was wrong....

gg to the cards even though i am a MI native. With the way the tigers played those last few games there was no doubt in my mind that they were not gonna win. oh well theres always next year or the year after that

I really know how Det. must feal after being so sure of their team and then watching them just self implode. I know it really hurt me when the Cardinals got swept in 04'. But that is still a great acomplishment for the Tigers to get where they did after the past few years of having no hope of making the playoffs at all. Lelen (excuse my spelling) even said you can't win with that many erors.

I think the playoffs always comes down to who gets hot at the right time, its just unfortunate for the Tigers that their hot streak came to an end so soon while the cards just kept the fire going.

I think Detroit is going to make a good run next year just as long as they stay away from injurys and keep a good solid core from this years team.

:)

btw I have tickets in the stadium for the parade...there in the second level so they are pretty nice....I'm probably going to make an online photo album on one of those new google things they have now, so everyone can get a look at it..,.

Ill get to use my semi new Nikon D70s tomorow :D
It should be exciting! :P

2006 WORLD CHAMPIONS = ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

I couldn't be happier. :)

Who cares that we only won 83 games in the regular season. All we care about is what we did to the Padres, Mets, and Tigers. :D

AHHH the ............ wait no memories for me damn it!!!!!!! Not to be a dick to any cardinals fans but that parade should have been in Detroit with the Tigers as the WS champs, even if they played crappy in the WS i felt they deserved it. But i guess i am just ranting because i am really upset that my boys lost like that. I think the hurt would have been a little less if they could have at least taken it to game 6 or 7, it would have been more fun to watch if it was down to game 7.
