Let's stay on topic.

As the dark lord wills.

Personally I think it's a waste. Why let God have all the fun of torturing him when with the proper medication you could keep him alive and in pain for a good long time ;)

He was an evil bastard who had men women and children killed for his own amusements--he deserved all the taunting he got on the gallows. Regardless of whether other people deserve death, Saddam deserved a lot worse than he got. I have no idea how people manage to dredge up pity for him.

I don't pity the man. I am however positive the morality of the architects of his downfall are equally suspect.

Saddam was an evil man. He had great power and was corrupted by that power. He was ruthless in his rule. He killed many people. He's simply not the only one like that. I feel if you're going to point fingers, you should at the very least, not have the same faults as the accused.

I have refrained from watching the video of his hanging. I saw it posted just hours after his death. Watching a man die doesn't make me comfortable.

I feel pretty good pointing the finger at Saddam, I'm no mass murderer. I see things separately, Saddam is Saddam, and I had no problems watching him swing. If tomorrow Bush chokes out on a pretzel, I'd say Bush is Bush--and watch the video if there was one.

I tried that already - didn't work :(

There are far better ways to get your point across.
