Yup yup, Neo himself is an anomaly too actually ...

The Keymaker was also an old program...
I liked the French dude's coding to that blonde chick's cake though..hahahhahahaha
Just saw it. Terrible waste of my time and money. I liked the first Matrix because it was a new genre. This one should be called "Matrix Reheated".
There is no plot to speak of, it's a succession of boringly similar kung-fu fights, with the occasional meaningless chatter in between. It's Charlie Chan without the humour, but with special effects and CGI. And cool costumes, and dark glasses.
I don't agree with the "Highlander 2" comparison, as this movie showed a good continuity with the prequel. I'd rather compare it with "Alien 3". Reheated stuff.
Of course, the bad guy had to be a pompous French with a ridiculous accent. How subtle.
I suffered through the horrible noise during the final credits (couldn't determine if it was static or some kind of music), only to be presented with scenes that seemed to be cut from the movie I had just watched.
Sometimes a good idea should be left alone, there should have been no sequel to The Matrix.
Obviously I'm no American teenager, so this movie is not for me. Same for all previews of summer films I saw. Just how many exploding cars can you see before getting bored?

THE THING I LIKE THE MOST IS THE POETIC JUSTICE THAT THE PROPHECY THAT WILL END THE WAR WAS CREATED BY THE MACHINES FOR THE MACHINES. AND HOW EVERYONE THINKS THE ORACLE IS SOME KINDA GOOD CHARACTER AND IN REALITY SHE S JUST AS TWISTED AS THE AGENT SMITH ,BUT AS THEY SAY ALL PROGRAMS HAVE A PURPOSE AND HERS IS TO DO WHAT SHE DOES .... THE ONLY THING I WONDERED IS HOW OLD THE MATRIX IS .. DOES THIS MEAN IT IS 600 YEARS OLD AT LEAST... WHAT YEAR WOULD THAT MAKE IT.. AND IF ALL THE PRVIOUS "ONES" CHOSE THE OTHER DOOR NOW WHAT... I GUESS THAT IS WHAT REVOLUTIONS WILL BE THERE FOR:P

i really liked this movie becuase there are different ways to portray each event, Looking at it through the bible, NEO, is portrayed as the messiaha, this is show when he gets off the elevator and ppl sorround him with gifs , and one lady asks him to heal his baby, another biblical part was during the meeting in the caves, the same thing occured when Peter was asked to speak to all of the christian and he told them that they are going to be free of the roman empire ( robots ) but it would not be easy. also at the end of the movie when Neo is talking to the guy that arcitecture *spelling* of the matrix and he told Neo that CHOICE is a big flaw in humans and it lead them to there deaths. alot of christians , including saint Peter, where held by the romans to be eaten by the lions. they roman empire asked them if they would renounce there religion and they would be speared but they made a choice to follow what they believe and it lead them to there deaths.
i dont know if anyone is going to understand it this way, but i like to analyse movies very much, mainly beucase i like to edit movies and play around on premier but in every movie there is always something hidden which is not seen when watching the movie for the first time, .
SaintTigurius 2 Cents.

Watch the AniMatrix, which is out on DVD that you can buy now...or on "ripped" sources if you know what I mean, if you condone those things anyway..hehe There's more biblical references in the first 2 episodes, The Second Reneissance Parts 1 and 2. And it tells you how the machines came into power and it ties directly with the Matrix movies.
I am a Christian so I know what you're talking about, thanks for pointing it out dude!

As for the actual age of the Matrix, it would be more than 600 years old since it takes a long time to rebuild considering Zion has more than enough people....

This nut does not speak for all Christians or Catholics......
It is not like that at all in Canada among religious leaders! We are not extremes over here.....we don't speak with the hate and bitterness that is present in this nutcracker's words..
" It appeals to youngsters whose degenerate parents have allowed them to spend more time surfing the wave of raw sewage that is the internet than reading their Bibles."
What the heck? The internet is raw sewage? Uh, gee, what a hypocrite, he uses the internet to call it raw sewage...LoL!
It's nutjobs like this guy that makes Christians have a stereotypical view by the public....
I said it before and I'll say it again, there's a lot of wrong thinking and actions carried out by the spiritual leaders in the States...this is another example!

BUT since the "real world" that they escape the Matrix to isn't really a real world at all, how can you define the age of something either in the matrix or the "real world" since both are part of the same program? It stands to reason that if they really can put someone back into the matrix (as they said they would in the first movie) and that person have no memory of anything that happened "outside" the matrix then who is to say they couldn't just reload Zion and have everyone think that nothing ever happened?
