What is the greatest movie ever made?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

All sequels. Who wants for God's sake an American Pie 3? The first 2 where enough. Or all those movies of Leslie Nielson? Glad that man is too old now. The jokes weren't funny anymore.

Here is a quota I found on a web page Willes says "The studios would be completely happy to have me do the same movie over and over again, but I'm sick of it. After Mercury Rising, my younger brother, a film producer, said to me, 'The three major action sequences in the film were derivative of three other films you've done.' It was a knock on the door. Time to take a break. In 1987, when I did the first Die Hard, pyrotechnics and explosions were novel. Ten years later they're tapped out. The hook on Die Hard 4 is that it's going to be low-tech. Me and three cop friends get abducted. We're taken into the Amazon and have to escape -- without all the explosions and pyrotechnics."

Bad Boys II is not bad ( I hope). Sequels can sometimes be a succes. Or even better than part I. For example: you have now a Matrix II and III, but you never her someone complain about those sequels.
Another example. I watched the Harry Potter movies, and to be honest: part II was much better than the stinky part I.

Bad Boys to me was a music video. To many cuts and it looked like a music video. I mean the action was fine and all but...is there any need for a sequel?

I do part II. Really, it sucked. The first was good because it broke out of the mold, it was new, it added to a genre(sci-fi).

The second.... Ug. Cliche after cliche after cliche. Something the first didn't resort to.

I haven't seen the film yet. But my friends say the movie is too boring. It doesn't fix on part I.
