Good Charlotte right got ya, in the uk we have way to much respect for old school punk to call those nutless wankers punk. I don't really see the connection between those guys and the Sex Pistols or the Clash so I don't really know where they get the punk from.
It's kind of like when people call bands like Nickelback "metal". Really grates on my nerves.
I love the old school punk bands like that.Originally posted by SavageParrot

There's no connection between the Sex Pistols and the punk pop for what I can see. In my opinion it's a way to try to make it cool that the industry found to sell more by searching less for great bands.

Jeffro, did you see RBF at the Pagent w/ Goldfinger? Excellent show.
The frampton is cool. Listen to Do You Feel Like We Do? off of Frampton comes alive. That song makes me wanna be in a band big time. If you do get a ban goin, make your your live performances are ones to remember... IE THE URGE.... if you've been to one of their shows either at Mississippi Nights or The Pagent, you know what i mean.
RBF put on fun shows, and i've been to a lot of ones around STL. The most important thing i can say is make them memorable. You have to cater to what people want, or just be friggin' awesome. The Bottom line. Play fun stuff. If you look fuckin' bored on stage then the audience will notice.
"Whats the Situation?" "Two blokes and a fuckload of cutlery!"

"do you feel like we do" has the freaking best solos I have ever heard!
The way he brings in the voice tube and plays so musically...
JUST LOVE IT.
Anyway...no I didn't see them. Sounded like a kick ass concert. Wish I was there...

The only concert I have seen recently was the Dave Matthews Band. They are fine musicians, and put on some funky beats, however, the crowd atmosphere was a little dry for my taste. A little more enthusiasm would have been appriciated.
