It seems like we don't have any great politicians left. The last politician that really gave me any kind of charge was H.Ross Perot. He was a crazy little guy, but he spoke more hard truth than any other politician I have seen since. Now we have lukewarm empty suits with no ideas. No JFK, No Lincoln, No FDRs, we have nothing on the horizon that I can see.

Kerry better never get re-elected. He will tax us up the wazzoo and raise interest rates, thus dropping the market price of the house I just bought in the Bush economy - because of the job I just got in the Bush economy. Also, he will fire up terrorists everywhere because they know he is a puss and will cease all fighting against them and allow them to rebuild.
Bush may not be the smooth talker or the sharp-wit speaker, but he has balls, and he does what he says and says what he is going to do - just ask the Taliban and Saddam Hussein if Bush keeps his word. His honesty is refreshing in a President.
Bush honest? LOL that is the best joke I have heard in a month. Where did you hear that one?
Kerry is a puss and Bush isn't? Kerry, who fought in vietnam and Bush who had daddy hide him in the Texas National Guard so he would not go to Vietnam, isn't a puss? That is the biggest crock of shit out there, that Kerry is weak as a military leader. Bush pussied out for a year from his duties in the National fucking Guard. Kerry is a 'puss' because after he came back from Vietnam he joined the Veterans Against the War? Are you fucking kidding me? You sit on your fucking couch and can critise a veteran's view on a war he fought in, when your view is 'I am going to sit here on my ass and call you a puss while the rest of America can go over there and kick some ass!!!'
I am not even voting for Kerry(most likely not) yet I at least LISTEN to him. In no way is his plan to just 'pull out, let them attack us.' He repeatedly says that going in there was wrong and we went in there for made up reasons(you know, some of your 'honest' President's lies). Yet, he says it is more wrong to just pull out, that because we are already in there we have to see it through, that we can not afford to screw up in Iraq.
BTW, Bush has NOTHING to do with the interest rates, that is solely on the FED's shoulders. This 'great ecomony' is total bullshit. Subtract out the defense spending, the GDP drops. Factor in inflation(which they just finally did) and it drops. Each and every single one of my venders and suppliers are saying sales are down in each state. All of their retailers are hurting. All of the indepentant designers who use my store to get their product say that their sales are down. My sales are down, down by over half. A good chunk of these new jobs you keep hearing about are going to ILLEGAL IMIGRANTS and to foreign workers who come over on a visa to replace American workers who were just fired since it will cut the company's payroll in half.

Excuse me, I find that highly offensive. I have some of my very besst friends, members of the North Carolina National Guard, who are currently on the ground in Iraq, serving right alongside active duty units. To say that serving in the National Guard (or the Reserve, by implication) is somehow less honorable than serving in active duty is not only ridiculous, foolish, and ignorant, it's also offensive and insulting to every Guardsman and Reservist who puts his life on the line every day for ingrates like you.

Can you ever make a cogent argument without resorting to personal attacks and cursing?

Funny how you're willing to listen to Kerry, but you're more than happy to stick to your preconceived notions and prejudices about Bush. Too bad - you might actually learn something new, like the fact that President Bush has actually done everything he said he'd do.

I'd move to Cuba myself, nice weather, nice women and you can legitimately whine about the illegal US embargo and the shameful and illegal way they hold and probably torture their prisoners ay camp x-ray. Once there you can stop worrying about which-figure head will be working for big business after the election and start smoking some fat cigars and drinking some fine cocktails. Seems ideal to me.

Wow, so do I. He is currently attached the the Big Red one.
This has nothing to do with the Texas National Guard when Bush was in it. It was a safe haven for athletes and politicians children from going to Vietnam.

Oh no, i said a bad word. I didn't personally attack anyone, BTW. i also find it funny that someoen who shares your views on that joke of a President gets a free pass when calling veterans a 'puss,' yet it is the end of the world if I call the Texas National Guard during the Vietnam war a joke or a say a naughty bad word. Give me a break.

I have listened to Bush, and usually laugh when he tries his hardest to finish a sentence. He is a flipping lier. You are somewhat correct. he has done most of what he said he woudl do. The problem is the lies he used to do the majority of them.

Again, a free pass given to someone who shares your views, and finger pointing to someone who doesn't. Don't know why I would post about the economy? Gee, could it be the QUOTE that was in PLAIN ENGLISH from Face who brought it up in the first place? Even going so far as to say that the low interest rates are because of Bush(when they are because of the FED balancing out the horrible economy???)?
For someone who has such hatred for Moore and his selective 'fiction,' you sure seem to get a kick out of doing it over and over and over again.

Here's a link to a documentary being made about Moore.

Perhaps when it comes out JimmyT can review it for us?

Um... I'm not even sure what you're referring to in the first bit there. What is "the Big Red one?" As for the second bit, this has everything to do with the National Guard. You're implying that Kerry is somehow better than Bush because he was on active duty and served in Vietnam, while Bush was in the National Guard and did not. How does that work? Surely you're not that ignorant about the National Guard, are you? If that's the deciding factor on being our Commander in Chief, why did we pick Bill Clinton - someone who burned his draft card and moved to the UK - over George H. W. Bush, a World War 2 veteran?

Fine. Face, try not to call Kerry a "puss." It's not nice.

I would consider that a personal attack on Face. With regard to personal attacks and cursing - when you resort to them, it implies that you have insufficient facts to back up your argument, so you must impugn the motives and actions of those who disagree with you, just to try to make some headway. It reveals weakness and lack of depth in your argument. It also makes those who do it look rather foolish and immature. Oh, and if you do want to find some facts, make sure you get the correct ones - Bush was in the Alabama Air National Guard, not the Texas National Guard.

"...the lies he used to do the majority of them?" To what "them" are you referring? I assume you're implying that he "lied" about the justification for the war in Iraq. That's a very tired argument that, if you'd actually pay attention, has been refuted many times. Only those who choose not to be open-minded, or cling to prejudices, would still hold to the belief that Bush "lied." What else has he allegedly lied about?

It's funny how you give Bush credit for some things (flying the bin Laden family members out of the US; the bad economy in the first place) but not for others (economic recovery). How does that work? It's true - the Fed is responsible for interest rates. Surely you don't think the fact that rates have been low for a long time is the ONLY factor influencing the economy?

I dislike anyone who deliberately, maliciously, and selfishly distorts, misrepresents, twists, spins, and bends facts, utters half-truths as if they were whole facts, spreads innuendo and rumor as if it were truth, is completely illogical, and fundamentally slanders others.
Yes, I would take that as being a personal attack. He doesn't even know who I am. For all he knows, I could have been in Korea, Vietnam, Granada, or the 1991 Gulf War. It is the Liberalcrat way - sling accusations without fact and the 1000 other Liberalcrats who hear it swear to their lives that it is fact. Why do they know it is fact? "Because everyone said so!!!"
It doesn't suprise me that my first post on the forums in months and Tango attacks it - some things never do change.
