Floppy, I dunno which waffles I'm talking about. I always just called them Belgian waffles. What's the difference?

Brussels waffles are square type and they are usually eaten with whipped cream and strawberries (only in season).

Liége waffles are rounded and they have some caramelized sugar on top or little pieces of sugar in them.

Here are some Pics of the waffles

This one is about Waffles and other facts

Does that answer your question? :D

WTF is wrong with you? Did I say: "Our products are better then American products?" NO -> I just gave a rough profile of Belgium, like I said before. And you act like I have offended you and made this tread into a pissing contest. I dont deny the quality of American goods, hell, I love plenty of them.I feel sorry for you bayotanzk, because I think you have such an egocentric mind you simply cant bear the thought that we have fine products too.

I hear Doomy thinks Floppy is fine.....;)

Just one reason why its healthy to hate France. Here is a nation that Roman Polanski fled to after he drugged and raped a 13 year old. Excerpts from the transcript of the 13 year old describing the assault on the SmokingGun.com. This guy lives in France, and they refuse to hand him over. Those French are some sick people let that shit slide.:ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15: :ar15:

FLOPPY,
Many countries make fine products. I have many a few belgium made rifles, and they are nice. Not my favorites, but nice. At this junction I would not buy any product from a country that benifited from our protection for many years and does not support our interests. That is my choice. Take it any way you like. I really do not give a crap. You made a statement pertaining to some homegrown products, if you think that I should thank your country for X, your crazy.

But clearly the statement about you taking X was a little strong, for that I do apologize. For all else NOT.

Sat Mar 15, 2003 11:55 pm

if x didnt exist you wouldnt have the product in the first place.

France is the only county in modern warfare to be taken over without a shot being fired. We saved there asses in WW1 and WW2, now were going into WW3 and you'd think an allie that ass you saved twice would at least stand back and let us defend ourselves. Not vetto and make us look like we want to do this. In the longrun he will come for the U.S. dont be stupid and complacent. We will never do that again.
The World has been in our shadow for a very long time. Because of that we have made many countries jelious. They do not like our lives or our lifestyle and they want to destroy it.
WE cannot gamble posibly MILIONS of american lives when right now all we have to do is loose a few hunderd thousand Iraq'e lives. To wait any longer is suicide.

what would you do ?

BOMB THEM TO THE STONE AGE, THAT'S WHAT DRAGON FART!

Belguim may be a wonderful country with great people and fine food and a beautiful countryside. The plain fact is simple, they are opposed to our current situation in the gulf along with germany and france. I am german and dutch, though my ancestry has little to do with the fact that we are Americans and these former allies benifited from our protection for many years at a great expense to the American people (yes, you and I and our parents and grandparents). I do not wish any ill will to anyone, but what france, germany and belgium has done with this maniac and the current problems in iraq, is complete garbage and a bunch of crap.

It is their choice what position to take and they took it. The balance of power in something that any educated or heck uneducated person can understand. This is about a shift of power in the world today as much as iraq. There is no ussr anymore, therefore the european nations feel secure in the EU. There is a post about who has give what as far as arms and technology to iraq, and I bet you would not be surprised to discover the countries that oppose our obligation to the iraqi people for freedom are the largest suppliers. It is the duty of the President of the United States to provide security and safety to the American people. Belgium opposes that and therefore it is hard to be simpathetic toward your heritage in belgium or mine in germany or my wifes in france. We are Americans and this is our country. Sorry but that is the way I feel. I have purchased many products from both germany and belgium in the past (france after that incident with the loss of american pilots and the lybian nuclear reactor, won a boycott from that day on from me! anyhow!) It may not do much to effect there economies, but in time it does not help.

I have great respect for your conviction/patriotism toward belgium, and perhaps in time things will change, they usually do. Today at this moment they are NOT our friends and surely the UN vote with regard to turkey is more than enough to demonstrate that fact.

Countries are made up of people and everyone has an opinion or point of view. Not all iraqis are crazy idiots with weapons of mass destruction. Hitler had enemies, they tried to kill him, not all Germans were nazis. The same with belgium and the people. A bunch of guys that play RTCW are belgium and great guys, but it does not change the face of the current iraqi crisis, mabe makes it tougher because we thought many of these countries were our allies and sometimes reality is a slap in the face.
I buy whatever I can that is American and I drive American. Fine, wonderful, and powerful luxury vehicles that are under $40,000 and as nice $60,000 german cars and no need to mention french cars--- Le Car LOL POS LOL

Oh, my god! I was thinking the same thing. That'd be like us taking pride in Michael Jackson. Neither would be a source of national pride.

No offense, just good-natured ribbing, Floppy.
