Because Ldsmith. When someone doesnt wear their seat belt and gets hurt bad. A public road is shut down for a bit. Maybe a county hospital has to ready a trauma team. Things like this cost money and time. If a seat belt can help prevent use of this money and time I am all for it.

Let me clairify one point... i get off subject too often

It hurts anyone who isn't making a cool million that can cover medical expensises associated with head/facial trauma.

People do stupid things that hurt themselves and it costs others.
1. Acting like a fool, you think a helmet will muss your hair and you fail to wear it, you're in an accident.... ties up traffic (UPS truck unable to make delivery @ airoport).
2. You're unable to work, leading to heavier workloads, co-workers need to pick up your slack.
3. Production is down at the office and it's possible they might have to file chapter 10. Fred goes to bar to forget his problems, afterwords banned to couch by wife cause he had a few to many drinks.
4. Timmy wakes up and see's his father sleeping on couch, worries his parents are going to get a divorce.
5. Coach Simmion upset with SS Timothy Allen's performance benches him for junior player. Scouts never get to see, the once future hall of famer play. (Cubs never draft him and they fail to EVER make it to the World Series again).
6. The Junior who replaced Tim at SS gets overly cocky about his ability to field balls and catches a line drive in the chest, causing him to cry in front of the team.
7. After classmates heckle and taunt 'crybaby' long enough it convinces him to attemp this stunt.....*Worlds Dumbest Kid Loses more face and is humiliated on internet.
8. And finally John Franco is sitting home watching the lame WE channel. His PC is useless, his old graphics card is fried. He'd rather be fragging a few nubs on BF2 battlefieldor checking out ECGN threadsbut no not until his aTi X1600pro 512 MB arrives... but UPS never showed today. Maybe tomorrow, only if all motorcyclist wear their helmets.

See it hurts us all.
