Tell me about it, i've been to 5 games already and they've only won once. I got 4 more games to go to, Al MacInnis' number retirement night and 3 other games... im excited.

The owners are selling the team and they didn't sign ANYBODY at the start of the free agency period. We've also been having injury and goaltending problems. Im not pissed that they are a shitty team, because they do try hard and in the new system, they just are not skilled enough to keep up with most of these other teams. Still, its great to see hockey again and head downtown to see some games.

How about them Sabres tonight? a 10-1 win and two players with hat tricks. I think this makes up for their 10-4 loss to the Senators earlier this season. I was at both games, i'll tell ya one thing, my throat is still killing me from all the yelling :D

has any team scored 11 or more yet this season? I don't feel like looking it up...

hey Conscious.. and anyone else who cares... I ran into Peter Forsberg, saturday night.
I was coming out of a restaurant in Phila. "Buddkan" restaurant. http://buddakan.com/
Anyway, it was starting to snow and really windy and cold outside. My girlfriend and I were done our dinner and just stalling to leave, standing inside the door looking out the window at the snow. When an inside door opens (there is a small room about 10' by 10' that seperates the restuarant from the outside door) so there is not that much space, and out steps Forsberg and an entourage of about 4-6 guys. He looked right at me, then stepped outside, walking right past me. I was like "oh my god, that was Forsberg" to my girlfriend. It took me a second to realize what had just happened so i didnt get a chance to say anything to him. (my girlfriend wasn't as nearly impressed as I). I opened the outside door and he was quickly shuffled into a taxi. Yes, I was pretty star struck. It's not every day you get to see the best hockey player in the world brush right by you.
Of course, my girlfriend and I got into a fight because this was supposed to be our "date night" and I was making all these cell phone call to my friends to tell them. LOL :)
It's funny because i was just reading to my g/f before we left that the restaurant is pretty popular with stars and have had the likes of Robert Dinero, Bruce Willis, Robert Redford eat there. (got that info off the web site).
I didn't recognize some of the other guys with Forsberg but I assume they are probably CO Avalanche players? The Flyers played the Avalanche saturday afternoon and lost in overtime.

anyway, sorry for the long post.. but that's my story. I was pretty excited. :)

If you like Hockey, watch Alex Ovechkin from the Caps. Crosby has his moments, but this kid is a phenom.

Agreed, he is amazing...the goal that he scored from his back last night was incredible.

The SENS still RULE, but he is a pretty good rookie.

Yea, Ovechkin is winning the rookie scoring race hands down, so far. Hell, he is in the top 10 in total points and 2nd in goals overall ! Pretty good for anyone, much less a rookie.
