With the new megapatch a full game download for new beta testers is rumored around 3 gig.... that would explain the long dl time

yep thats the reason, im supposed to get my cds today but i probly wont get to play the game till sunday but hey its worth the wait.

I applied for the open beta two days ago, but I guess I'm too late. I received a confirmation e-mail that they received my app, but I still need a registration code to start the install.
I really want to play! I played WWIIOL for about a year, but the pace is just too slow. Planetside looks like it rectifies that problem.

My roommate just got his CD's today, the little bastard. I still haven't gotten mine. I may have to start kicking his ass of hic PC, just to get some game time in this weekend...

Can someone help me with this? I ran the install program and all, I get 3 new icons on my desktop, I ran the PlanetSide one and it always crashes?!? WTF!?

How does it crash.. does it say Leaving world then Disconnected? That is a known bug and nothing we can do about it but they are working on it.... over 3000 ppl have that prob

I just got my beta confirmation yesterday, last night. I ran it last night to install and such, and it all completed.
After the basic installs, I have 3 new icons on the desktop, Sony Station, Cosmic Rift, and Planetside. when I double click planetside, it would go Loading graphics... then the Station Launch Pad runs, then I hear 2 sounds from my Windows (the sound you hear when a program crashes), and when I go to the Task Manager, it says both programs are Not Responding... hence, it crashed...it happens all the time.
I have NOT even entered my Beta CD Key, nor downloaded the actual game... because it would always crash when it says Loading Graphics!
I can go log onto the Station just fine but can't access anything that would download Planetside itself.
