I still want to spend the majority of time on the reg maps.. or on a few custom maps that are different or just flat out awesome.

From what I've seen, the majority of these new maps are really good. There are a couple (like the PCGamer map) that are very dull in Coop but look to be set up for deathmatch. However, maps like tequila, open market, and some others that I do not remember by name are easily as good as the originals.

Not that it matters, we probably will not be able to get them up until Thursday night.

I guess what I trying to say is that I am really liking how familiar I am getting with some of the maps, and there are still several originals that I haven't played yet.

How about a new map tryout night once a week. Maybe one new one each night, then we can all decide which ones we really want to practice on. I just don't think that we will ever get really good as a team if we are spending too much time on new maps.

Also, I think I realized why I don't like Peaks.... we don't work as a team at all on peaks. It always seems to turn into an "every man for himself" map. (Unlike Island Estate and Mountian Highway.) Maybe we can talk about sniper and LMG support etc etc...

Hey is there a way to run through a map wihtout having to worry about the terrorists. I just want to see what each looks like.

True enough. I think that's because it is so easy to rack up the kills on that map. I like the map only because I can do well on it. Though it is not a challenging map at all.

Every once in a while we get great teamwork going and it's a blast. I love room clearing when we are all clicking.

There is. There is actually a "mode" in which you can explore the map with no bad guys - though I don't remember how to do it. The work around method is just to play lone wolf with only bad guy.

Open Market is so different it is great. Both it and Hidishi Village give a GR feel to the game. Sri Lanka Does the same.

I agree with Sannop's above post. I'll also add London Wharf to the mix of MUST HAVES. It is by no means a GR style map. It's just beautifully made.. I am determined that Chemical Compound could be a good teamwork map (as long as there are less than 40 baddies.

I just played Dr. Noah. It's an outdoor night map with a central building. The terrorists have very well placed snipers awaiting your arrival. Thermal Scope manditory.

Ok.

I've just run through most the maps in the map pack (in coop mode only).

Here is my first impression.

The following maps do not support Coop-mode:

Parking House
Amon - Parking
Met
Intercept
Subway
Amon Zen
TheDoor2
Cude
Tequila Sunrise
Sniper Bunkers

Remakes:

Snowbase - fun with smaller number of terrorists
Chemical Compound - beautifully redone, but too difficult with 30 or more terrorists

Maps with big outdoor areas:

Hidishi Village - nice change of pace
Dr. Noah (not a map pack map) - make sure to have thermal or you will die fast
SriLanka - Different. Would be difficult with a short time limit

Dead Negotiations - Mogodishu Map. Difficult. Good change of pace

Mountain Lodge - Boring

London Wharf - My favorite of the map pack maps. If you like Warehouse, you'll love this one.

Open Market - Great Map. Beautiful

Close Quarters - Very Tough. Name says it all.

The worst map Award: Glitch (not a map pack map)

London Wharf gets my vote also. I like it and the original Shipyard map (played it for the first time last night), but the LW map has a ton of unique graphics.

The problem with a map like Sri Lanka is that it sure would suck if you got killed early. The wait time would be horrible.

Oh, one more point.... Open Market kicks ass (have I said that before?)
