Ok, since my posts earlier today i've thought about this all day... at work... I don't even know if i've come to a conclusion about all this but maybe by the end of this i will.

First and foremost, the killing of ANY man, american/muslim/jew/african/asian/european/South American/ Australian/middle eastern is wrong... A plotted murder in the name of religion/governmental beliefs is just as wrong. Whether it be your neighbor Bob or a poor peasent in the country-side of Iraq, the death of a person by a any person by the hands of another man is inconcievable.

Judgement by beliefs is just as wrong. Sometimes necessary but judgement should come from the idea for the improvement of mankind not the belief that one is better than the other.

Here is the thing, after watching the video, i went to work after a few posts here... the f-ed up thing is that i started seeing this Nick Berg fellow on a lot of young guys faces...

I wont go into detail about the vid but i suggest you not watch it. Its not worth it. Cold blooded murder is not something to be marvelled at. I'm even ashamed that I did watch it but that can't be undone.

I followed up my night at work with a trip to the Bar i normally go to on Wednesday nights... it was a little somber for me. A lot of questions popped into my head as drank a couple of beers... questions with no answers at this time or quite possibly questions with a thousand answers at any time.

Should we be over there? There is no choice in that, we already are. Should we pull out? the anwser remains unknown. We will find out in many many years if the decisions we made were right. When the year is 2035 and many of us are watching our version of the history channel and there are films and documentries about this whole situation can we only look back and determine the rights and wrongs of our present world.

Should Nick Berg have died? Should all those detained people been humiliated? Hell no. But Mr. Berg is now dead, all those people live with their shame of being humiliated... whats done is done. Where do we go from here? A thousand posiblities, a thousand answers... we'll hopefully know the right ones someday.

None of us have the answers... none of us know the future either... we do not make the decisions that decide our fate... I suggest we take the good things outta this, if there are any... because if the road we are all travelling down goes any farther, there wont be any good things to talk about.

Sorry if this seemed more like a journal entry than a reply to any post... like i said this whole thing really f-ed w/ me.

It's an incredibly horrible and shocking video. It truly is not for the faint of heart. I've seen my share of death, and am somewhat used to it, but this was so gruesome and awful, that I honeslty couldn't finish.

To be honest I don't care about it anymore. All I hear is arguing everywhere I go. All I see is senseless brutality in ever paper I read and every person I talk has nothing but harsh angry words. I'm tired of hearing it. I think I'll grab my fishing pole and head down the street.

They have done this even before the U.S. went into Iraq, holding civilians hostage just because he/she is an American citizen. I do not think this type of barbaric actions will stop even if we do with draw from the Middle East.
