Yo Ryan,
how is this game really? I was probably one of the first ones to play as i anxiously waited the release, what has it been, a year?
anyway, i thought it really sucked! very laggy, graphics, physics not great and i thought when weapons were shot and damage not good at all.
I canceled my membership within a month or 2 at the longest and shelved the game.

Has it gotten a lot better?

thanks to Spirit of Me for the sig!

Personally, I like it.

Make sure you have at least 1gb of RAM to play, as they aparently have issues with people who only have 512.. and they plan on fixing this (im not holding my breath...).

I played the 14 day trial a while back, and never got into it then. Since then, they've changed certs around, added vehicles, and overall, made it better. Also, they are adding lots of new features im looking foward to.

If you get with a good outfit, it makes the game a hell of a lot better. Then, you always have a squad / plantoon to join, and always have someone to play with and help lvl up.

Although, yes, it is still a bit repetivie (attack, hack, move on.. attack, hack, move on...) I think its still a blast. Definitely do a trial to see if you like it. :)

I have only 512 RAM. That has to be why I would lag so badly.

I went to the planetside website and looked it up. Looks pretty nifty. I might try it out when my money in my checking acount activates. XP God banks can ake it out imediatly but takes so long to put it in!

I'm going to download planetside now. Hopefully my PC won't crash as much as it does in RtCW and Ground Control 2 pultiplayer demo.

Yeah...it is pretty neat! :)

The only dilemma (sp?) my graphics/sound settings.

Here is what I'm running at:

1280x1024x32

All graphics high

256 reserved textures

All cull animations

Sound settings: EAX 1

Ryan, what are you using?

I'm trying to get the opitimal settings. :)

I'm catching up to you ryan. And only my 3rd day so far. :D

I have the uni max cert (which is why I'm in a mobile suit)
Harrasser cert, ant cert and medium assult cert.

Seems I might not keep the harrasser cert long most people would rather have anouther MAX with them than a buggy.

I have a low kill ratio though, seems to be because MAX move like snails and are easy targets for tanks and aircraft.

You don't gain much EXP (BR) for killing with MAXs either. :)
