why arent there alot of far cry servers out there...multiplayer sucks when a regular cable noob hosts a game

Because Far Cry takes ALOT of resources to host, not so much bandwidth just CPU/Memory.

GSPs rent them, but they cost upwards of $10 per slot, so no one rents them.

It's a shame since such a great looking game with good single player had to get cut down to the bargain bin because of lacking multiplayer.

I played the demo and did think it looked great. However, I didn't like the way it played and don't think it would have been that huge a hit even if multiplayer servers were more readily available.

this was one of the best single player games I ever played, but the multi-player was really weak. Probably why you don';t see a lot of people playing it.
