Illegal cable boxes?

Postby LordShard » Wed Jul 14, 2004 9:06 pm

I think someone close to whereI live got an illegal cable box because my cable modem seemingly gets nuts everynow and then and certian channels go haywire for seemingly no reason. Only 1 channel at a time though.

I've checked all the channels and when certain shows are on, on certain days things go on the fritz. Could this be caused by someone using an illegal cable box to get free cable?

Well I know my dad's huge HDTV has a built in cable tuner/guide with it and it will pick up channels we don't have sometimes, and then a bit later lose them and pick up a different show on that same channel.

No, I have digital cable box, (legal) and since adelphia is crap I pay $5 a month for the box and remote (More ways to screw me out of money every month)

But if this is caused by illegal cable boxes I wanna turn their asses in. Freackin fook up my cable and broadband that I pay VERY good money for. O well I guess this is more of a rant than anything else. But I'm nearly 100% sure someone has an illegal box near my residence.

the one blessing i've had with my cable company is that when i bitch about things like my connection... or if anything is wrong with my service they actually try and attempt to fix it. It doesn't hurt to give them a call besides, they'd rather keep you on as a customer with lower rates then switching to satelite. Use it to your advantage.
