Anyone have a sony mini-dv cam?

I'm confused to the whole date/time display thing...It doesn't have an option in the menu to have it on, so if the tape is played on a vcr, will it show the time and date? I tryed playing it back on the camera itself but it doesnt show the time/date on the lcd screen : (

<--- i have it, make sure you are set in camera mode not player mode to set it to be on its in the options menu.....read the damn directions you lazy ass

yeah but, I checked every option, and not one has an option for displaying date/time , its the sony mini-dv dcr-trv18, and it does not have an option..

god damn i hate this f-en camera, WHY DOES IT NOT HAVE THE SIMPLE OPTION OF A TIME /DATE DISPLAY

ok i figured out how to do it, you have to press date on the remote when in playback mode
