paypal claims anyone?

Postby hitznrunz » Fri Sep 24, 2004 1:56 pm

Any experience with paypal claims...how long did it take...did you get your money back etc. I purchased a laptop on yahoo auctions who was a verified premier paypal account holder....Ive filed a claim against him with paypal b/c he's being very uncooperative.....he has taken money from 4 other individuals.Paypal insists that they must give the seller ten days to provide a tracking number or refund....Hes probably out of the country by now sipping magaritas with my money.:ar15:

According to PayPal accepting their ToS (Terms of Service) in effect means you waive your rights to credit card consumer protection laws if you want to use their service, and that you may not issue a chargeback for unauthorized use of your credit card and PayPal account, or if you do, then they have the right to limit your account.

It is amazing how crappy paypal is. Their % cuts are way too high(3% is a rip off). You can have 1 million positive transactions, and then one person turns you in as a fraud(even though you are not) and Paypal can freeze your account, take all the money in it, and even if you are found to not be a fraud, paypal can keep your money anyways.

It is amazing what is in the terms of service contracts, the ones no one ever reads and just scrolls to the bottom and hits 'accept.'
