Christopher Reeve dead at 52

Postby shockwave203 » Mon Oct 11, 2004 1:09 am

very sad news :(

Christopher Reeve, the star of the "Superman" movies whose near-fatal riding accident nine years ago turned him into a worldwide advocate for spinal cord research, died Sunday of heart failure, his publicist said. He was 52

To have gone through all he went through and then get heart failure is too unlucky. Underpants will never again look so good being worn outside the trousers :(

Damn. I'm actually saddened. He was a good actor. I looked up to him when I was younger.

I thought he was the man growing up, especailly how he kept on keepin on after his accident. Even his little appearances on tv shows and such (like smallville) just kept reminded ya to never give up the fight. Im sure he's happy though now, he really gets to fly :)

Thought he might actually get some of his movement back. At least he died fighting.

very sad indeed. Let's not forget many other people in the world with the same condition who also pass away each day.

very sad :( Christopher Reeve was also the main contributor to embryo treatment development and research, his loss may lead to less development. But hopefully his legacy will live on :) :violin:
