LCD vs CRT
Thinking of upgrading my moniter.( its about 5-6 years old) Are the LCD's worth the extra cash or do the good ol crt's still outrun them?

you can get pretty decent LCD's these days. look for LCD's that have a 16ms response time or less so you dont have ghosting while playing games.
I have both an LCD and a CRT. LCD is absolutely awesome because it's sooooo sharp and crisp, but I use my CRT for gaming.
find an LCD with a low response time and you'll love it.

LCD's dont refresh nearly as fast as CRT's. You also spend aLOT more on an LCD, especially if you want one with fast enough refresh rates to play games on. Since LCD's have to refresh the entire screen instead of just the pixels that change, I allways recommend good quality CRT's (Iiyama ect) if you want great performance as well as insane defined graphic quality.
As Evan stated, you can get ones with 16ms or less refresh rate, but mostly LCD's are best for your 'work' computer to save space.

Thinking of one of the two, the TG Oulet near me is ab out 1 hour and 10/15 minutes away from me, they have the G220FB in stock but no P220fb in stock. Also wanted to pick up some new speakers, possibbly

unfortunatlly, they are also not In-Stock, hense, i don't want to pay 200 bucks for S&H. Upgrade those next year, maybe christmas
I called TG.ca and the shipping for one of the two, is going to be over 150.00, don't want to send away.
Go with the 620.00 dollar monitor,
should i not?
Primary use gaming, DvD's, video media, not into tech design or animation/graphics.
Feedback please, and thank.
