If anyone has a good idea

Postby Hairy Ballsagna » Sun Oct 17, 2004 2:51 am

A couple of radio dj's i realy enjoyed are back after being fired 2 years ago.... but theyre on satellite radio....and in the morning.....which is too early for me. does anyone know how i could record streaming audio off the internet to be listened to later on, preferable in a format that will take up as little space on my hardrive as possible.

Hopefully that link works, download.com had lots of programs or winamp plugins that will record streaming audio in a compact format.
According to their page
Rosoft Audio Recorder 3.5.4 is free and can be setup to work on timer recording, but has adware :(
Steamripper is a free plugin for Winamp, but you'll have to figure out someway to operate an unattended recording.

Find out what the adware is on Rosoft's product. Some adware progs like Gator can be replaced with harmless dummy files that allow you to use the product and not get spied on.
