yeah, I saw that a little while ago. It's from one of those bum-fight movies where they pay bums to do specific things.

too bad she didn't floor it in reverse when he was standing behind the pt cruiser.

I saw that last night...haha.... it looks like her band was even trying to save her ass by picking things up. It'd have been better if it were britney spears or someone more large-scale and obvious.

"A still-humiliated Simpson apologized to her fans - and blamed her band for playing the wrong song."

Man...what a bitch. She blames her band instead of fessing up that she's a phony.

I love it. The music industry cries about music being downloaded, but the sad truth is they are losing because of a bad business model. They decided to stop recruiting talent and instead they decided to manufacture the talent themselves. They dump so much money into their product in an attemp to market it and hide the fact that their product is a sham that it is very, very tough to make back their money. It's like spending $200 million to a make a movie, that movie better be the greatest thing since sliced bread or you are going to lose your shirt.
If they would let artist come up the natural way (by clawing their way up with live performance at small clubs) they wouldn't have to spend so much, spin so much, promote so much. They would actually have artists who could make money on road without 50 costume changes, 100 dancers, and lip syncing.

I agree with you 100% cavelier, and have thought this for some time. The sad truth is that this has been going on for the last 20 years or so. With the advent of "boy bands", "girl bands", and most recent so-called "hip-hop" goups and shows like "Making the Band" where they get spoiled, no talent, asses together to put out some sucky product to make a few bucks. I would be surprised if half these losers knew even how to play a musical instrument.
A lot of the problem is also that you get brainless fu**s who watch too much MTV to actually buy this stuff. The mainstream music industry is a joke.

Mainstream music isn't THAT bad.

What about bands like: Alice In Chains, Sublime, Reel Big Fish, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Velvet Revolver, etc...

All those bands clawed their way up playing live at little clubs, I'd say they became popular in spite of MTV more than because of MTV.

As the record industry weaken/dies, a fresh crop of groups that can earn a living on the road will rise again. Teenagers will become used to artists that write music and lyrics and play instruments. It will happen.
