Teamspeak Tutorial
Heres a quick yet complete guide to setting up teamspeak for anyone who hasnt done it. May i suggest a sticky because its a f.a.q.
Go to http://www.goteamspeak.org
Download the client version on the right side of the page.
Install it.
Open the program via the shortcut on the desktop.
At the top of the window select "Connection" from the grey bar.
Click "Connect" on that dropdown menu.
Select the "Local addressbook" tab.
Rightclick emty space and click new server.
Enter the name as ECGNetwork or somthing of that order.
Input server ip as: 205.177.13.42
Make sure that you dont have the registered tab selected, keep it anyonomous.
Put in a nickname, preferably what your going to be using in game most of the time.
Make sure that the allow server to assign nickname tab is not checked.
Check auto-reconnect.
Dont bother with any of the optional default channel stuff.
Click connect, and you should be on the server. You start our in the default channel.(General Chit-Chat.)
Now you have to configure a push to talk button.
On the grey menu bar at the top, select settings.
On the dropdown menu, select "Sound Input/Output Settings."
Select push to talk instead of voice activation.
Press a button or key and hit ok. (Some people use the middle mouse click, i personally, use the "B" button on my keyboard, feel free to play around to see what works for you.)
Now for the cookies. There is an annoying voice that tells you when somone leaves, comes, gets kicked, gets banned, dies, eats a bowl of cereal, takes it up the ass, whatever. We want to disable her voice because shees annoying. To do this we go into the "Setting" Menu, select "Options", and in that box, we go to the "Sound Notifications" tab, and check "Disable All Sounds". Hit "Apply" and "OK".
The only other thing youll have to worry about is registering. To do this simply go to the grey bar again, select self, and register with server. Input a username and password that you want to use to log into the server. Hit "OK". Now go to "Connection", "Connect", and select registered. Input the username and password (case sensative), that you used to register, and click "Connect". From now on when you log into the server, you will have an "R" next to your name instead of a "U". There arent really any advantages but there could be in the future or if you are ever granted C.A. (channel admin) anywhere. Being registered allows you to keep any permissions granted to you during a session whenever you log on.
If at any time, you decide that you would wish to find out what kind of power any class has, go into, "Info" (on the grey bar), and select "Show Permissions". This will show you what any class on the server has. Dont ask for a promotion, you wont get it.
If you have any general questions, feel free to ask me. I know teamspeak inside and out, this is basically anything i could think of that you would need to know but i may have missed somthing. If at any time you have a question just get my attention. Im SkiloDog2000 on ts and im normally here for a few hours a day.

Yes, Rondeau wrote that program and made it available to all:
"I play with speakers, not headphones.
Unfortunately, the background noises in BF1942 make it hard to transmit in Teamspeak.
I wrote a utility to help. It mutes the Master volume to a pre-selectable level whenever you press your PTT key.
If you are interested you can get it at http://webpages.charter.net/lkg/silencer.exe
Just match the hotkey selection in my utility to the PTT key you use in Teamspeak. (sorry but it does not save your selection)
Please let me know if it is helpful...
