The Toe!

Here is a pic of my toe. I told you guys it hurt allot. It has mostly healed up so it doesn't look nearly as bad as when the entire toe was black, pussy and throbbing! Now the black is only where the nail used to be, not even that much!

Wow that dont look to good. What did you drop on it? ( steel toed shoes is a must have for Christmas )

I weasr steel toe shoes! I didn't drop anything on it. Had to have the entire toenail removed, and strong acid put on it to keep the nail from growing back.

It was a chronic ingrown toenail. Nothing the doctors or I could do to keep it from growing back in wrong. (had it removed 3 times and it regrew ingrown each time :freak:

) Doc asked me if I wanted to loose the whole toenail and kill the whole toenail and I said sure!

They deadned it the 2 last times, but it grew sideways back into it. Which is odd. But now there will be no more toenail togrow sideways so I should never be out because of that particular toenail again.

Yea, ingrown toenails are a bitch. I never had one as bad as yours though.

Do we (as humans) need toenails for anything? I only need my fingernails occasionally (to scratch my balls and such) but it doesn't seem like toenails serve any purpose.

I alkways thought of them as a sort of armor plating to help prevent the removal of the edge of your digits.

I just saved that pic to my pics file. Hope you do not mind. I am going to send it out to some of my more sensivtive friends. btw I have smashed a nail or two. But I have never seen an ingrown that you had to have removed......I can't imagine how 'good' that feels. Isn't that a form of torture in some societies? Removal of toe and finger nails? [ Healthy ones of course ].

Anyway the title of my email will be:
"Toenail Fungus - Your foots hidden killler"

I have a black toe myself. In fact, the same one as yours.
I allmost have a year a black toe by now, but it happened during PE.

But like Tommy said: amputate the toe!
