I have the utmost respect for our soldiers, but I really dont like this kind of coverage. Almost makes a spectacle out of a completely serious thing: WAR.

I don't like cameras and cameramen showing fighting, sitting there filming people risking their lives and dying. Kind of like "Running Man" where you have these people just watching you fight for your life while they sit back and "cover it."

Maybe its just me.......

Great stuff! More of this should be shown instead of the usual, 'look at the civilian who lost a leg' footage. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it almost always paints a one sided picture that the liberal media loves to portray.

Go get em boys! Kick serious insurgent a$$!!!!!

I don't see it like that. it's not like we see this sort of thing on a daily basis. To be honest this was the first time I've ever seen troops fighting a real enemy on tape.

It made me sit back and say "holy shit". No one's releasing this for entertainment. It's not being released in theatres for people to eat popcorn to. It's to show individuals what actually goes on. It's not making a spectacle- it's making people respect what those brave soldiers are doing over there.

I see it on the news too, and what would you have said if those guys got a mortar to the face?

I've seen news coverage where the cameraman is filming guys running from nades ect. All I said was I dont personally care for it.

Nobody finds it odd that we are in a war, and we have second by second coverage with people following the fights?

And more of that is needed. Too often we show videos that have a negative impact on everything we do, with little support towards the positive actions we take.

Think about it. Isn't it funny that when Israel retalliates after being hit with a wave of suicide bombers, the first thing that is shown on western television is the grieving and wounded palestinians being taken to hospitals. Paints a bad and biased picture of Israel doesn't it? Amazingly, nothing is ever shown on western tv as to what had happened to Israeli civilians when a suicide bomber detonated his or her bomb at a cafe or night club. That, is liberal media for you, and the more people that realize this, the better.

The video footage on this thread has got to be one of the best positive motivators for us about our troops abroad. In a time when many people here despise all US military action (even when Hussein was actually murdering hundreds of thousands of his own people), footage like this shows the sacrifice and unselfish acts that our armed forces take everyday that they are over there.

I only wish more of this would be shown instead of the usual, depressing footage that only tells the side of the story that favors the networks the best.
