The link is just a joke, let's not go off on a Canada/US insult fest as we have plenty of people from both countries on these boards.

Hey everyone, not meant to start a Canada bash fest, just fun. We share a lot of the same culture, at the least out west we do, I do not know about the eastern part. Some of the traits of Canada are funny to us and vice versa. So just enjoy the humor, I mean Capt. Kirk is from there, eh you hosers?

The thing that ircks me about it is the fact that there seems to be a high tolerance on these forums for "political threads" dealing with places like Canada, Iraq, Afghanastan.... and I have witnessed some extremely uncalled for and ignorant comments about these places... in fact...in some cases, entire threads in a huge flame war bashing both the place and people living there. However, threads remotely tied to ANY kind of US criticism are in most cases immediately locked.

Personally, Im not offended by this article by any means... but I know there are people out there just inspired by this and DYING to slip in some asinine "my dad can beat up your dad" comment.

......for those that do like to start stuff like that.... I just want to remind them of all of this...and to please both recognize and respect that there is a diverse population that reads these boards.

Siren, I understand your point. It does seem to be a maturity check on how the posters respond to such threads. I guess that some people can excuse xenophobia, or misconsieved superitority [sps?]on their parts.

Yep. Some people can look at it and just see it for what it is, a pretty well done piece of satire. Others though can't resist the 'my dad can beat your dad' rant that is going to be about as fresh and imaginative as the "Who's on First" skit from the 1930's.

You also have to figure that teenagers play this game as well and that there are teenagers on the board.

But then again, I've seen some teenagers that are more mature than some adults...

Me, I'm just a big 27 yo kid.
