geforce 6800gt

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

i just bought a geforce 6800gt 256mb card...and ive noticed that the gpu core is at 68 degrees...is that high...the gpu core slowdown threshold is set at 120...was just checkiing if this is right or not....ambient temperature is at 49 degrees...any feedback??

that sounds a little high to me... I have the same card and idle at 60 with 40 ambient. Check that your case fans are pointing the right direction (If you dont have any you need some) and that the airflow isnt blocked by IDE cables.

Is that 68 degrees at full load? Mine idles at 60-62 but I have seen it over 70 at full load before.

Unless you are having stability issues, I wouldn't worry about it too much Hitz. You are going to have higher temps down in Florida than guys like Weasel and me in the frozen midwest.

Had to go into the city for training this week (which is why i have been posting so much) and the city is COLD COLD COLD!!! Damn that wind rips right through all 10 of my layers...
