I thought they were just going to a 64bit OS next.

So all you need is that transformation pack to get their new OS? No need to buy the upgrade?

Has it been "officially" released yet? If not, its probably buggy as hell no?

Explain it to me :) I just now heard of it.

No, this is not from Microsoft. It's just a skin and tweak package.

Keep in mind often these packs can slow you down and cause some problems with third party software. use at your own risk.

That said, it's cute and looks somewhat like the real deal, but has none of the eye candy.

Longhorn is Microsoft's next generation OS.

Supposedly faster, prettier, more streamlined, and overall better - Longhorn is said to change the way we use computers in the future.

I'm sure it's at least partly hype, and there is an Alpha version out for testing.

Nope. It will be a 64 bit OS, but thats not the one you're thinking of.

And I said ALPHA testing, not BETA testing.
