Viewsonic to release next quarter a couple of 4ms LCd's. Of course they will release only 17 inchers at first, but we are getting close to the 1ms "Holy Grail" of an CRT.

Thats a good question. Not sure. I have never seen it discussed as a problem in that respect, just the usual "smearing" or "ghosting" issues that 16ms LCD's and above are known for.

My CRT died a few weeks ago, I purchased a 19 inch, 16 ms response time LCD. The ghosting isn't too bad, but the native resolution SUCKS. LCDs only look their best at native resolution and most 19 inch LCDs (as far as I can tell) are 1280x1024, so you're kinda locked into playing at that resolution. I think I'll keep this LCD but I think I'm going to fix my old CRT monitor as well. There is just no beating a CRT at this point.

good info, i use a 17 inch lcd now and all the gamers that have been to my house have no idea how I play on it. I don't know any difference so It never has bothered me, maybe one of these new monitors will clear things up a bit:)
