Get a program called dvdshrink, its easy to use and works good with Nero DVD burning software. It will decrypt any of that security stuff on dvds and allow you to burn it to a blank (you can even delete some things--such as languages-- and reorganize to make room if u wish). Just make sure you have room on your hard drive for a temp storage of files ( normally about 3-4gig)

Decrypt with This awesome program and then encrypt and burn it with DVD Shrink mentioned above.

i'm not sure, if dvdshrink is that, what sox want

I want to rip dvd's to avi

dvdshrink removes additional audio tracks, subtitles and so on. the output is a dvd, NOT an avi in the normal meaning ( avi = audio/video interleaved) like a divx- or xvid-video.

if you only want to rip a dvd to burn it to another dvd, dvdshrink is the correct program. if not, you also need programs like virtualdub or nandub, dvd2avi and the like.

if you need them, you will find them here. you also will find dvddecrypter and other free ripping and video tools here.

This program does it. I used to use it just to decrypt into VOB files, then I used DVD2AVI (another free program), but now I think CloneAd does the whole thing, right to avi if you want. Read the web page for the instructions.

depends on the raw-video-material. if it is good, shrink is unbelievable fast. if not, you better use instantcopy or re-encode it by hand.
