I guess I do a 'quarter windsor' knot.
I do the exact same thing as those instructions but only wrap the wide end around the narrow part once, flip it up, and pull it through the loop. End of story.
The instructions show a second wrap around, flip up, and through the loop, I always thought that was a full windsor.
Oh wait, just read more of that page, turns out I was doing the 'Four in Hand knot'
