It's a fucking penguin who gives a toss. Jesus a little perspective. Millions upon millions of PEOPLE starve every year and no-one could care less but a baby penguin looks like starving and it's worldwide news.

Animals in captivity depend on us to take care of them. People *supposedly* have the intelligence to take care of themselves.
I would rather save an animal than some people in this world. (note i said 'some", not all)

However, people do not always have the means to take care of themselves, like the ones born into poverty and the victims of natural disaters.

Yeah intelligence counts for nothing when you are living in a dust bowl without water and are prevented from leaving by armed 'soldiers'.

Yes they do. Don't underestimate what people can accomplish with a little motivation and self worth.

Yes, that is a different story. Agreed. A lot of that is probably going on in most of these African nations right now.

Dude do you honestly think they'd be dying 30-40 million a year (probably more I haven't checked this years figures) if it was as easy as you say. You clearly have no idea what these people face day in day out...

All I am trying to say is that sometimes I value animals over people. Not all, but some. I am just bitter over the human race. People killing each other for thousands of years for nothing. While animals just want to exist and only kill for food and to survive. People have the capability to be evil. Animals are generally innocent.
That is all.
*And no, I am not a vegetarian!*

No they don't - not always! The victims of the killer tsunami and hurricane Katrina did not have the supplies and the facilities to help themselves! You think the problem boils down to these people not having the motivation or the self-worth they needed?

Honestly, I can't bring myself to give two fucks about homeless people. They're mostly crackheads and/or alchoholics anyway. Children, maybe, but that's a big maybe. I like animals better that I like people, and when you say an person is acting like an animal, that's unfair to animals.

Never underestimate the stupidity, ungratefulness, selfishness, and utter meanness of human beings.

And I'm glad Katrina happened because it shows everyone how we retarded humans are fucking up the Earth.
