golden boy is from st. louis and he's even said he'd like to pitch for the cards.... so start the farewell tour, you southie.... besides, it looks like the WS payroll has ballooned a little bit and they are gonna have to make some pay cuts or end up like the yanks.
I love dusty baker. I love how people think he can manage a pro team. I love his 150 minimum pitch count and i love (insert cubbie pitchers name here) half season of injuries. One thing i will miss most however is LaTroy Hawkins blowing games like a he blows penis. Good luck being a closer in Baltimore, they need all the help they can get.

i know he's from STL, but he is a south sider so forget about it. THe payroll went up because we already have over 2 million tix sold for 06 year which is real good for us. We could hit 3 million this year as single game tickets havent even gone on sale yet.

Seriously, if you have a minor league baseball team near you, it's a great way to spend a spring/summer day. Tickets are cheap, seats are good, the players play the best version of baseball out there. 99% as good as major league, but played by players who love the game, aren't spoiled, they hustle, run out every hit, really get into. Drink a few beers, eat a few hot dogs, and enjoy the game. Try it once, you'll see what I mean.

I'd fly to England and egg the soccer players but I don't feel like getting beat up by the soccer hooligans. Those guys actually scare me a bit.

Where's the fun in going to a game if you don't club at least one person over the head with a sock full of gravel?

That's the problem. I don't want to get clubbed over the head, I don't like pain. Those guys think it's funny if you break their nose.

Dude, so right. I love going to MLB games as we have 2 teams here but there is an independant league team here (Schaumburg FLyers) I goto a couple of those games a year, awesome time.
Ok you think baseball is boring soccer takes the cake... ooo yeah every game ends 1-0 or even better 0-0.. wow let me pay to see that!!

$6-$8 for nice box seats, less for kids. Can't beat the value. My sister and brother-in-law go with their 3 kids, it's a good time without spending an arm and leg.

http://www.portlandseadogs.com/ Boston Red Sox affiliates, been around for a little while, a real class act.
It's nice to see players that are so happy to be playing baseball, happy as hell to sign autographs.
