One thing those reviews fail to measure is "System Resource Use". I prefer AVG over all the other listed products not just because it's effective, not just because it's free (even though I have the pay version) but because it uses 1/3 the resources the Symantec Product uses.
If I have to devote 30-40% of my system's resources to anything other than what I'm doing I'd rather not even use my PC.

i use NOD, it works great and never bothers me unless it needs an update (i get a little ping and a reminder in the bottom right of the screen). it's a very nice anti-virus program imo.


If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.
