RAM question
Im not computer savy. I need more, what the kids call, "RAM". Does it matter what kind i get for the type of computer/graphics card/whatever else i dont know about?
Re: RAM question
Yes - different mother boards use different types of memory (and at different speeds).
There are a variety of ways to find out which type your computer uses. If it is a Dell or Gateway or other "big" manufacturer, you can visit their site and lookup the memory type for your particular model.
There are several websites, too, that prompt you for your model of computer and it will tell you what type of memory it takes.

here is a nice program that tells you a lot about your computer. It should tell you the speed and type you need. It may even tell you how many slots you have on your mother board. A lot of other cool things from it too.
I just can't remember if someone posted it here, or if a friend of mine gave it to me.

Brian Fantana: People call me the Bry man; I'm the stylish one of the group. I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater. You ladies play your cards right you just might get to meet the whole gang.
