Nvidia 43.45 drivers and Directx 9a

I just got a new MSI nvidia ti4200 128meg (upgrade from ATI 7500 64meg) and on playing BF1942, I was dissapointed in the difference that I didnt see. I had the new 43.45 drivers and Directx 9, so I was extremely crestfallen. Upon reading in another forum that the new direct x and 43.45 drivers= great fps, I DL,ed the 9a drivers and immediately improved my FPS by 50% min. Just wanted to let yall know if you didnt know already. Have a good day. :beer:
