Interesting 24 hours

Postby SavageParrot » Sat Jul 21, 2007 9:54 am

So anyway I got back from holiday yesterday and it was raining...it didn't stop. My parents house has an ensuite swimming pool in every room:

*those sofas are up on top of coffee tables. What looks like the floor is just the water which was/is still 2 feet or so high...

And here's a vid of the outside. I think the great spaghetti monster forgot it's supposed to be July...

Sorry to here about it parrot and that is going to make quit a mess when the water goes down. The joys of living near water, I know because I live close to a river and have seen it 1st hand.Just think roll out of bed and have a dip in your new bedside pool.

Yeah it was mental. Normally it take 3 or 4 days for the river to get high enough for it to even look like flooding. Yesterday it did it in 8 hours, fucking crazy.

Only 1 carpet though. Most of the floors are tiled, I believe it's called floodplain chic.

Two thoughts come to mind:

God hates GB for Harry Potter.

You Brits don't know how to handle floods. The streets were completely barren... no people in canoes or boats, no kids splashing around.
FFS, get some white trash in them streets!

On a different note, that does SUCK. Make sure you send the bill to mother nature.

Nah it's an act of God, I'm gonna tell the parentals to send him the bill. Maybe he'll send Jesus to do the plastering...
