EVGA Step-Up Program

Guys I bought a 7800 GS EVGA card from newegg about a year ago to maximize my old AGP slot. Low and behold I realize they have this thing called the "Step up" program. The money I spent towards the card I currently have they will put towards a new car as long as you purchase it within 1 year of the last. So now I can get a nice shinny 9600GT for $32 shipped. Buy another from Newegg for about $180 and I can SLI, or I can wait to step up until the 9800GTs come out
Of course this all means I need to spend some $ on a new PC (:))

Hmm its your choice. I think the 9800 are coming out in March/April time frame (don't hold that to me). I would prolly get the 9600GT & SLI it. You could always do the step up program again to trade out your 9600GT for some 9800's later. 9600GT in SLI should be plenty of power to run games on high. Thus of course you want to run Crysis maxed out and high res.

yeah i will probably just go 9600, wait a while till I dive into teh 9800 market, they will probably be $500 now anyway!

Why do you need a new card Wes? You want the solitaire cards to look better. I am sure you can run BF2 fine as it is now. Are you planning on getting some new games that you have no time to play.
