New Tribes game announced

I'm not sure how many of you all are fans of the Tribes series like me, but I thought this news might be of interest.

The quick and dirty version is: Irrational Games (System Shock 2, Freedom Force) is developing Tribes: Vengeance. It is planned for a late 2004 release. Sounds like this will include both a single and multiplayer portion, with single player taking a more robust role than in previous Tribes games. i only got into the second one, but i think they released it at a bad time, becuase even when T2 came out, and was on the market for like 4 months, there was still the same amount of ppl playing the first one as the second one.

Well let me just say this... If they send this thing out as buggy as T2 was, they are gonna kill the franchise. I would weep, as I am an old Tribes 1 and T2 vet. I have high hopes for this one, no new engine to tinker with and a company that has established a solid rep for good games.
