Seriously, thats some funny stuff! I love how he got the CD to go up the skateboard and then back down and go back up again! Damn, I wish I could try this shit! And when the cd just blew up when it was spinning! Wow, can we say shrapnel? I hope he and the chick are okay. Thanks for posting this. This file is a bit big, but it's worth watching!

I think they might have done this based on real-world data about cd spindle speeds.
Ever noticed how CD-ROM drives advanced to around 52x and then just leveled off and never got any faster? Tests have shown than 52x is about the limits of safe use and long life for CD's. Bumping up the speed to even just 60x or 70x can cause the majority of CD's to shatter because of centripidal force. A lot of hardware manufacturers found this out the hard way when they initially released 60x drives and many customers returned them because they destroyed their CD's.
