wes anderson is a genius
i liked the music for Royal Tenenbaums too
for comedies- Dazed and Confused had a great score
and Oh Brother, Where art Thou? blew me away
also- The Graduate, Harold and Maude soundtracks rocked
but imo #1- hands down- is the Godfather
All good sountracks.
Also, watch(if you haven't for some reason) Bottle Rocket. Wes's first movie. It is also the most 'slap stick' of hsi three movies.
When Martin Scorsese says it is one of the best movies of the 90's, you lean forward and listen.

I have no reall particular favourites, but I vote for anything with a quirky soundtrack like the previously mentioned Wes Anderson films, or a film with an orchestral soundtrack.
I can't stand films that rely solely on pop music for their soundtrack. It basically says the filmmakers(or pushy execs) couldn't care less for what the film sounds like, so they just dump that week's top ten hits onto the movie because it's bound to draw in the brainless teenage masses.
