SuperBowl Rigged?

Postby yaDad » Sun Feb 01, 2004 7:56 am

more money is wagered on this day than anyother day of the year...ne1 have the $$$ amounts...multi billions of dollars i am sure. With $$$ like this changing hands you dont think that the game aint rigged in some way shape or form?
I have not failed...I have just found 10,000 ways that don't work.

I highly doubt any of the games are rigged. The only way I could see that happening is if someone offered some huge amount of money to the refs or one of the players like a kicker but it would take a real bastard to take that kind of bribe and blow the Superbowl. Just movie stuff. I'm sure if you went around to all the players they'd want the ring more then money.

If the Patriots lose tho its rigged.

I bet they pay bonuses for taking players out of the game tho like an enforcer that just breaks players legs and stuff. :freak:

Yadad, you said Kasay's kickoff was rigged... well, I say, maybe, but still a lot of other things had to happen to get that last FG for the pats...

2 huge 3rd down plays by Brady to two different receivers... are all of these guys in on the fix, too? Not to mention, that 2point conversion that was made by the pats, and the first one missed by the Cats... would have made a big difference to the final score...

Personally, I think most players would much rather have a ring than some money given to them by a gambler... your name goes in the history books for one, and these guys already make a lot of money...

AND, that kicker DID muff a couple of potential game-winning kicks during the season...

Lemme guess, you bet against the Cats for the spread?

I wouldn't have done that, they've played EVERYBODY close all year... the Pats have played like that all year too, but won even more than them... so pick the Cats to cover the spread, but the Pats to win :) But then again, I can't afford to bet on these things :D

Exactly not rigged, look at Vini hes a friggen hero in our books, and hes the damn clutch kicker. Now that kick really didnt matter, we had 1st and 20 from what the 30? Deffinitely not rigged.

If anyone was paid-off, it was that CB for Carolina - Manning(24). That guy didn't defend a pass or make a tackle all night. On the winning drive, he was at least 10-yards from his guy twice - once for a 20-yard gain giving the Pats the ball at the 24. This after making 3 interceptions in the previous game....

How many times do we have to win a superbowl to get respect without people saying its rigged, damn we won its over no pay-offs.

See all my fellow Pats fans at the parade tomorrow.

Not the point I was trying to make. The point was that the Panthers - especially, Manning - couldn't cover the Patriots' recievers. After the flubbed kick, they still had to move the ball 40-yards to get the kick. They did it with ease - even with the 10-yard offensive PI call...

Congratulations to the New England Patriots and all their fans!

The Patriots defense couldnt hold some of the Panthers wide recievers either.

Also the Patriots have ease in tight moments like that because they always go over two minute drills.
