It is Crytek, not Ubisoft. Crytek is the developer, ubi is the publisher.

from IGN forums

this morning at 9.00 o'clock the office space of the company Crytek was scanned. Ausgangsloeser of this action was an announcement of a former, annoyed trainee, the stated the company Crytek has from a certain software mark possess installations accomplished without the appropriate number of licenses.

The management of Crytek appreciates the attention of the German polizeiabteilung regarding protected software and pointed themselves to jeglicherweise cooperatively. As a software developer Crytek is always interested to acquire and use program products of third parties rightfully! The development of the long-waited play far Cry was interrupted only by three hours, while the police cleared the affair up with Crytek and its management personnel!

Against the statements, Crytek would like to get of various media and forums straight hereby that neither persons were arrested or articles were konfesziert. Crytek hereby would like to stress the fans, that again the development of far Cry in the schedule lies!"

Translation of translation: they had more copies of some piece of software than they had licences for. The cops made no arrests and didnt confiscate anything.
