Typical Yankees. Buy anything they can.
The more Georgie does this, the sooner baseball will get on the right track of having fixed payrolls and full revenue sharing.

Well guys if you like sports then this is how they reward you. Not to mention jacking up cable tv rates to pay for this ungodly salary. This is why ESPN is trying to get another 25% rate increase from cable companies, even though there not the #1 ranked network. And all the other networks only look at around 5% to .1% increases.

I agree with everyone's comments F the Yankees. That friggen game sucked when the Sox lossed, come back from commerical break all I hear is, Its up, will it stay fair....HOME RUN, wtf! We couldve won that game wtf, oh well we still have the Patriots, haha maybe they will be a bigger dynasty than the Yankees.
sour grapes, anyone?
other teams would have pulled off the same deal if they had the opportunity. besides, paper teams don't necessarily win. all the whining about small market teams not being competitive is propaganda promoted by selig. just look at the angels, a's, twins and marlins. at least the yankees spend money and make it interesting.
