THE POLITICAL COMPASS - Since you all debate politics so much

I don't know if this has been shown before, but it's very interesting, and I'd like to see some of you post your results.

Can we all agree that the "Political Spectrum", consisting of simple left and right-wing views, is a horrible interpretation of one's political beliefs? Why is fascism considered the "far right" when the far left (Communism) is also usually composed of militant dictatorships? And where is capitalism to be placed on the spectrum?

The compass, on the other hand, demonstrates a much more accurate placing of different politicians and anyone who takes the test.

Image

As you can see, the left/right has now become nothing but economics, while the farther up/down one is placed shows his or her general area from a viewpoint on social issues. (i.e. down = liberal, up = conservative)

Ignore my rant and just take the test.

Post your TEXT results, the image will not work. For example:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 0.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.00

Thats a weird Spectrum.

Fascism is is a combination of many different political ideals so it could be way on the left or way on the right as well.

Some of those questions are either confusing, unclear, or a set-up (with no answer I like). They need a "none of the above" answer, or something like that....

Confusing? I found them all to be quite clear, although I agree a "no opinion" may have been slightly helpful.

Xythar: That's why I like the compass much better.

That seems to be a bit too short of a quiz to place anyone properly. Also, the results show that only about 17% are conservative and/or authoritarian, which is COMPLETELY inaccurate.

Yep. Even though often in political arguments people accuse me of being authoritarian, but I tend to lean conservative.

I'm about -3, -4, which is almost accurate. It has my position on social issues down, but I am probably not that far left (don't support socialism or socialist policies).
