What reason would they have to do this? Epic and Atari are multi million dollar companies and 10-15k they would make per month on this doesnt seem worth all the hassle ( believe me I know ) of having to maintain it.

This shit seriously pisses me off. They have no business renting servers for it. I swear to god if I see one more "Rent Server" button in any other game but BF series :ar15:

Yeah, but that's what happens - big business needs to have their finger in the pie.

The thing that'll kill them though is that your customer service is incredible and they have to worry about some underpaid schlum in a call center. ;)

Perhaps a buy-out of well-run businesses like ECGN is in the cards. Might work out for you in the long run. I sure hope it's that scenario and they don't try to squeeze you out of the market.

Wish they would just come and talk to the companies that actually care (like an ECGN) and would farm it out to other GSPs, for a split of revenue, allowing the customers to get the service and support they need/deserve.

It's Wal-MArt stomping on small business all over again.

they cannot touch your customer service and your committment to your clients.

Maybe the big paycheck at the end is a possibility for you?

Bon courage.

This is the classic example of a company making the mistake of getting away from its core competency. By trying to be all things to all people companies eventually lose sight of what made them successful, and then we the people suffer as quality declines.

For my .02, being a focused company at the top of your game and with great customer service is the way to go. No worries here.
