Looking for web space
I'm looking for recommendations on where I can locate some free/cheap web space. If it's free, please suggest places without tons o' pop-ups or pop-unders. I don't mind paying a little if it's banner-free.
Anyone have good/bad experiences they'd like to share.
It's not for actually bulding a web site but for storing files that I can link to from places like these forums.

Hightimber, how big are the files you want to link to? Also, who is you internet service provider? Most ISP give you some webspace as part of your package, anywhere from 5-25 mb. I have comcast and I believe it's 25 MB, but they give you up to 5 email alias's, so I assume 5 corresponding webspaces x 25 MB=125 MB.

Right before I joined Adelphia, they quit handing out any webspace at all. Alas, I have none.
I'm only looking for a few megabytes.
I'm borrowing from someone at present but if I found a free/cheap provider, I could return that space.
